Re: Poppy-ing Up Everywhere

My sweet friend Will at Sherle Wagner International was kind enough to alert me of another poppy product, and I think it is safe to say this one outshines them all. This hand-painted porcelain sink and fittings are exquisite! Hand-painted and custom-made with gold plate fittings (not to mention my favorite flower)-this is definitely the grande dame of sinks.

Available to the trade and retail. Bar sink shown; available in other sizes.

Please feel free to follow Will’s lead and let me know of products you think D Home readers should know about.Â

A Little Birdie Told Me…

Bird decor was all the rage this Spring, but it seems like the little birdies aren’t flying south for the Winter anytime soon. There is still plenty of time to get in on this trend…

Only one word came to mind when I laid eyes on Napa Home’s Sieger teapot: FABULOUS! I am all about red and white, and the gold accents make this teapot stunning ($415). It just might be too beautiful to actually use. Eye-candy is this teapot’s sole function.

Mecox Gardens‘ antique marble and bronze bookends are small in size, yet grand in appearance. The 6.5″ x 3″ pieces are $295.

Patch NYC embroiders various ink drawings by Don Carney onto 20″ x 20″ striped, French burlap pillows. One of the hot sellers just so happens to be the owl pillow. You can get yours at Haven for $98.

Last but not least, Stacy Hyde has a too-cute ceramic bowl by Global Views that would make an adorable fruit bowl ($200). This precious piece comes in ivory and turquoise (love it!).

Jazz Under the Stars at the DMA

Looking for something to do tonight??? Well look no further. Tonight is the final concert of the DMA’s Jazz Under the Stars series. Vicho Vicencio and the New Casino Band (feat. Nancy Fisher) present Brazilian and Afro-Cuban jazz. You have no excuse because the weather will be beautiful and the music superb. Bring a picnic and blanket and lounge under the stars (or purchase food and beverages on-site). The concert begins at 8pm in the Ross Avenue Plaza. Enjoy!

Showroom Pets

I just received this from Becky at Elloise Abbott showroom, and would love to post pictures of all the other lovable features at the local showrooms - kitties at Allan Knight, Lisa’s pup at J. Robert Scott, and all the Westies at the George Cameron Nash showroom. Of course, right after I got this we got a urgent message from our building manager, “No dogs allowed on the property, absolutely, shoot on sight, etc.” Lighten up!
