Hmmm… got your attention, didn’t I? So will this. Bring your “Sex and the City” movie ticket stub to Anichini and save 15 percent off all non-sale merchandise, including the linen purveyor’s bedding collection featured in the red hot movie. Later have cosmos with the girls and dish some saucy dirt.
The Goss-Michael Foundation debuted a blog this morning. I’m fascinated already by the dark exhibition space they’ve created to house their current show, which features shadows created by light cast dramatically onto “rubbish” and “rusted” metal objects. It’s beautiful.
D Home shot Kenny Goss’ and George Michael’s apartment two years ago. Boy did we get lots of letters. Not because Michael is a pop star. But because we showed a gay couple kissing!
Every Saturday in June, Cantoni is hosting a “Yappy Hour” - enjoy some wine while your dog munches on pastries. (Not the other way around please, we don’t want any drunk doggies.) Posh Paws is a program that celebrates our love for our most loyal companions and helps rescue dogs and cats in need - one of our very favorite causes around DHome. Right, Candy? The inspiration comes from a funky little puppy created by renowned designer - Cantoni is raising money for our rescue shelters by teaming with local celebs to embellish these pups, and auction them off at a gala event on June 26. So, those with well behaved dogs, (that would exclude me) join Cantoni on Alpha Rd for a very worthwhile, fun event.
Don’t forget the Chiapas Project event at the Crow Museum, hosted by Joseph Noble. Buy a ticket, have a drink, win a chair, change a life. PS - the tickets are $75, not $50, my bad. Quit whining.
As promised, I went to Bungalows yesterday. To translate Alabama to Texas…Bungalows is: 1 part McCallister Collection (McKinney), 1 part Junkadoodle (Dallas), and 1 part Hoodiewear (Richardson). The result is all Southern Hospitality… This picture does not/cannot capture the magic of this little boutique. It’s fun in for summer, anytime, really…
Partners Terry Woodard and Rick Kuzmyak recently expanded Bungalows to another new sunny location in the Wharf (Canal Street @ Beach Express). They LOVE Dallas, but that is only part of the story…jump for the deets.
