Betty Lou Phillips’ Latest Book

books.jpgProlific author Betty Lou Phillips has just published her eighth book on French style “Inspirations from France and Italy.” In this book she presents fresh and inspiring ideas from not only France and Italy, but England, Portugal, and Spain. And, of course, with beautiful photography from our favorite Danny Piassick. The book is full of fabulous fabrics from Christopher Hyland, on the front is featured Constantino. William & Wesley will have a book signing in April with Phillips and the master of archival fabrics Christopher Hyland. More on this later.

I would love to know how to achieve a country french look using stucco. Would this be an expensive endeavor on a new home? Betty Lou Phillips’ books are decorating bibles!

The best way to think about having an Italian style stucco decor is it is along the same line as granite and marble, but still less expensive. Granite and marble tile at the same quality can range from $8 to $25 a sq. ft. plus labor. For a Stucco look on your walls… an authentic Italian plaster(not joint compound and paint) will cost between $6 to $14 a sq. ft. for labor and material. The look is beautiful.
