And the winner is……drum roll, please…..Blue Iris. Clap, clap. Each year, based on the color directions, the state of the economy, and general social trends, Pantone designates one color the color of the year. With an infinite number of colors, I think that’s pretty ambitious. This blue/purple shade won the golden paintbrush based on the calming influence of blue and the spiritual qualities of purple in a complex world. Complex, really, you think?
