Mounted Head SOS
I am having a household emergency. I found live worms in my house beneath one of the huge Ibek head trophies my husband brought back from Africa. The head is now banned from my home. I am about ready to burn it. I cleaned up the bugs and nuked the room. I can feel my chromosomes twisting already. I have calls into the Dallas Museum of Natural History. Does anyone know anything about these heads? Are they prone to bugs? I captured some of the critters and will have them analyzed by an entomologist. Meantime, my husband has a choice — the heads. Or me.

The trophy was a Kudu. All of the trophies are already out of the house awaiting treatment. The specimens were dipped for pests twice before entering the United States, so the infestation must be from the taxidermist. I am sorry to put you through such trauma. We will have to send you for a spa treatment.

Candy Dearest, Rent those heads out the home stagers to stage those more challenging homes! Seriously, now Walt can study the life cycle of the horn worm, that can’t be overlooked when treating any pest! Plus one spa treatment will not be sufficent..a day at the spa perhaps!!
Okay, My darling daughter, who spends lots of time in Montana tells me the beetles are used to clean the heads! She says tell Candy to check the dogs as well and call an exterminator asap.
