Re: Trees in the Trinity

This was the reference to tree removal.  It’s an article from a publication on endangered rivers.  Looks a little old, but I knew I had seen something.  Cites The Texas Committee on Natural Resoures, National Wildlife Foundation, Dallas Historic Tree Foundation and The Dallas Sierra Club as contacts.  Interesting.

Anyway, I just returned from touring the Trinity Forest with some Trinity River developent folks. I am very excited about it - and hope the toll road issue doesn’t put a damper on any of the great things they have planned.

Having said that, air pollution is our City’s biggest problem - and I can only hope that a growing portion of the new cars headed our direction (with or without a new toll road) will utlimately be the next generation hybrid/equivalent. Otherwise, gasp…..
