KENICHI OPENS IN VICTORY PARK

I know, I know. It seems as though I’m obsessed with Victory–and so what if I am? Kenichi has outposts in Austin and Aspen, and instead of going to Abilene, Arlington, or even Addison (you know, because they start with “a,” too), the sushi restaurant has opened its doors in Dallas. The restaurant’s decor is sleek–very modern, but airy, too. The lighting is super flattering; I think I looked five years younger, but that could have been the sake talking. A tip: if you’re fortunate enough to go there on a date, request the upstairs booth with the curtain. That way, you and your special someone can scarf down sushi at spectacular speeds almost completely unnoticed. Sure, you could whisper sweet nothings to one another, but why on earth would you do that when you could chow down on a godzilla roll featuring eel, cucumber, avocado, and fresh strawberries, served inside out?
