Before I jet off to Napa for a wine-oh! week (see ya, suckahs!), here are a few upcoming events and tastings to keep you nice and saucy while I’m away:
Best Cellars continues its Saturday Chef Series April 21 (2-4 p.m.) with The Clay Pit’s executive chef Tinku Saini pairing his Indian fare with wines of the American West such as a California Pinot and New Mexican Rose. Ten percent off all featured wines.
The Wine Market hosts a Zinfandel tasting all weekend (April 20-22). Special discounts include 20 percent off all Zinfandels in stock and 15-20 percent off all decanters and stemware.
Cork, the newest wine kid on the block, offers a Wine 101 class this Monday, April 23 (6 p.m.). Wine novices will taste 12 wines, receive tasting notes and course materials, and finally learn how to say a wine is “jammy” without giggling.
