STEPHANIE ANNE: FOR THE HOME…AND THE BRIDE

verdures_lifestyle.jpgGreat scoop! Ever wonder what style mavens choose for their own homes? The other day, at Rebecca’s suggestion, I stopped in to Stephanie Anne. While registering there, I found out that Stephanie is engaged; they’re getting married in the garden of a Tuscan villa, and of course, she’s registered at her boutique. I asked her to give me a rundown of her list (see her china at left). Read about it and this weekend’s elaborate bridal event in the jump.

Stephanie’s Registry List:
“Well, I am mixing it up (as usual) and combining a few patterns. For instance, I love the Arte Italica, from Italy, serving pieces of white and pewter accents, along with the beautiful all-pewter chargers that will accent the wonderful Verdures china pattern by Raynaud that has a white background, with different water colored-like green leaves and plants, and blue flowers. Each plate is different and my favorite is actually the sweet bread and butter dish—to top it off, I have registered for accent French salad dishes by the French company, Niederville, in majolica transparent lime green (we have many colors from turquoise to pink) and are so fun and colorful.

The crystal I am choosing, personalized with our monogrammed initials, is from Varga. The wine glasses and champagne flutes are clear while the water glasses will be in an accent color, a medium, royal blue. I am bringing in Faberge sterling and an Italian line called Ricci. Both have beautiful patterns, and I have not decided yet!

I really enjoy the personalization of things for the table. It is warm and regal and adds a bit of royalty in the everyday. So, all the linens are 100 percent white or ecru linen with monogrammed initials…and Raynaud has a pretty line of monogrammed dishes, which I will also mix in with my “nature” styled Limoges, Raynaud china pattern. It comes in green, pink or blue initials, and I think the green on white will be crisp and nice–especially for entertaining ladies for lunch.

I’ve registered for many decanters–can never have enough of those–a great collection, and I adore the Italian crystal and pewter stemware and barware for everyday.

Another pattern that I am going to get for everyday is Juliska, which I actually have already started. It is microwave, dishwasher, freezer, and oven safe, and it also looks great with the pewter charges and accent pieces. Believe it or not, the Verdures by Raynaud is also user friendly, even though it is a fine china made of Limoges. My everyday flatware? Yes, Arte Italica pewter! Classic and timeless–I love anything classic Italian- especially if it looks like the Tuscan region. So my home will have classic pieces like the ones I mentioned, in order to bring Italy to my home and thus also be timeless in style and taste.

I have the best bath towel line of micro fiber cotton in a huge array of colors as well as 100 percent fine bamboo sheets and custom bed linens–made to order for the new couple.”

The event, Jan. 26-28:
If you know anyone getting married, send them this. They’re hosting table setting classes with Stephanie, sharing the latest spring floral bouquet design styles, unveiling new and exclusive patterns, giving away gifts to those who register (am I still eligible if I add to my registry?), and telling Dallas brides everything they need to know. In fact, you don’t really have to be a bride to love this.
