Okay, I got the strangest press release today.
Bryce A. Weigand, FAIA, Park Cities resident and principal at Good Fulton & Farrell Architects, will lead discussion of the Anasazi at the 67th Annual Texas Society of Architects (TSA) Convention in Dallas on Sat Nov 4, at the Dallas Convention Center.
Pretty straight forward, right? So why on earth did the release bring up McMansions?
“First of all,” the email said, “the Anasazi experienced some of the same global changes we are currently facing… Today we focus on teardowns, McMansions, historic preservation… All of these notions have a common theme–living in harmony or dissonance with our environment and our neighbors.”
Huh? Not really feeling the connection between the two, sorry.
Alls I knows is that sometime between 1150 to 1450, all of the Anasazi’s pueblos were suddenly & mysteriously abandoned.
So does that mean that McMansions will up and disappear sometime soon? (Fingers crossed, wish upon a star?)
