PALOMAR: THE 1ST ART HOTEL?

paloart.jpgJust got off the phone with Ariana Hajibashi-Martin over at PR firm McCrory & Associates who told me a bit about The Palomar ribbon cutting this Thursday. Going to find out more later, but this is hotel management company Kimpton’s first Texas location, and it will be “the first hotel dedicated to the arts.” (pic is of Palomar guest room)

Apparently the theme of the hotel is “art in motion,” and they’ve partnered with places like Stanley Korshak, the symphony, and other art groups in town to hold events to feature local artists’ work.

PR stuff after jump.

After a $100 million transformation of the former Mockingbird Hilton, Realty America Group and Behringer Harvard celebrates with Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants its first foray into the Texas market with the opening of Hotel Palomar Dallas. Located in the heart of Dallas’ thriving Park Cities neighborhood, the Hotel Palomar & Residences urban resort has convenient access to the 60-acre Dallas Arts District, Highland Park Village, the newly renovated NorthPark Center and the city’s two major airports. Additionally, the development features The Residences at Hotel Palomar consisting of 72 high-end luxury condominiums, villas and lofts; an infinity pool surrounded by casitas; more than 25,000 square feet of high-end, ground-level retail space; exhale®, Dallas’ first highly acclaimed transformational mind and body destination spa; Central 214, American Food and Cocktails; and the original Polynesian hot-spot, Trader Vic’s.
