MY SAN ANTONIO REDO I

wilwoodext.jpgI have to admit it; this is a really cute cottage. 1,534 square feet, a little more than a quarter of an acre, built in 1939 by an oilman/home builder named Thorman who developed Olmos Park and Olmos Park Terrace in San Antonio.

(Note this is the continuation of a Real Estate/Redo blog entry from 5/08/06.)

Neighbors tell me the home was covered in metal burglar bars, ostensibly so because it was owned by an interesting woman who lived alone. The estate of the late owner, Conchita Bobbitt, apparently removed a cage-like burglar bar entrance around the front door. My son is musing new colors for the gable as well as getting his ammunition ready to attack the yard. Up next: what I did with a nausea-inducing bathroom.
