KAY POLK INTERNATIONAL PORTRAIT COMPETITION

HARBISONartBESTsm2.jpgWell-known Dallas portrait artist Kay Polk won a second place in the Portrait Society of America’s 2006 International Portrait Competition.In one of the most prestigious competitions of its kinds, Ms. Polk’s portrait was one of more than a thousand entries from all over the world, and it featured a young man from the Park Cities, John Harbison.The Portrait Society convened in Dallas on May 4-7. Andrew Wyeth received the Gold Medal for a Lifetime Achievement in Art.
